Beginner French Roundhand

Spend two days among a small group of like-minded-scribes diving into a contemporary take on the traditional broad pen calligraphic script known as French Roundhand. Students are introduced to the basics of the broad edge, principal forms of this specific script, minuscule forms, figures, and majuscule forms. The class culminates in a small project that utilizes the students newly acquired techniques and a final group discussion/critique.

This class is beginner and intermediate friendly.

  • Straight dip pen holder
  • Broad nibs (Brause C 2.5mm)
  • Walnut Ink
  • Sumi Ink
  • Pencil
  • Straight Edge or Ruler
  • Stonehenge paper
