Patrick W. Costello (1866-1935)

Patrick W. Costello was born in modern-day Scranton Pennsylvania in the year 1866 to parents William Costello and Bridget Langan. After developing an early interest in art and penmanship, Costello would go on to become a prolific American engrossing artist that was well-known for his magnificent resolution engrossings and pen and ink drawings.

P. W. Costello’s life has been painstakingly chronicled by his surviving great-grandson, Thomas W. Costello of Scranton. You can read the full text of Tom’s biography on this Find A Grave entry.
